Linea Nigra
(Courtesy of Wikipedia)
*Linea nigra* (Latin
for "black line") is a dark vertical line that appears on the abdomen during about three quarters of all pregnancies
The brownish streak is usually about a centimeter in width. The line runs vertically along the midline of the abdomen
from the pubis
to the umbilicus
, but can also run from the pubis to the top of the abdomen.
Linea nigra is due to increasedmelanocyte-stimulating hormone
made by the placenta
, which also causes melasma
and darkened nipples
. Fair-skinned women show this phenomenon less often than women with darker pigmentation...
AND I HAVE IT! LOL LO AND BEHOLD!
Taken from my view lol
19 Weeks Baby!
Baby T might look a little something like this...
Next week is our gender/anatomy scan! Yay! Can't wait! Baby had his/her first camping trip this past weekend. It was fun besides the fact that didn't get much sleep and it was brutally hot! The water was nice but I only went in up to my thighs just because it didn't look the cleanest.

Snuza Halo
"Snuza monitors your baby's movements. If there is no movement sensed for 15 seconds, Snuza will gently vibrate to stimulate your baby; If no further movement is sensed within 5 seconds, an audible alarm will alert you to act. Specifically, this monitor helps prevent SIDS deaths and lets new parents get a good nights sleep".
It is wireless and clips on to baby`s diaper. It is $150.00 but based on the reviews and it`s purpose of course, we think it is well worth it! :)
If you want to check out the link, here it is!

Our Baby's Heartbeat :)
Today we had our follow up appointment. The nurse practioner was really behind so Joe came with me to the appointment but had to leave for his physio appointme.t before I went in. She went over the ultrasound she said everything looked good and that my due date is still October 15th! Also got my generic testing results back and the baby had a 1:50,000 chance of having down syndrome. I like those odds :-) She checked my blood pressure, all was normal. I told her about the heart pulpatations I had a couple of weeks ago and she said it's normal and I was just making a lot of fluids at that time. She wrote me a prescription for Ferrous Fumarate because my iron was slightly low. She then put the Doppler on my tummy and I got to hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time :) She found the heartbeat after a few minutes but as soon as she found it the baby moved away, lol. Just like it does when I'm poking at it! She found it again a few minutes later and I got to record it. She said it's a girl (based on the old wives tale I'm guessing! lol) Here it is!

Our baby might look something like this:
Here are some stats:
90 days late for my period, lol.
5 months, 8 days, 3 hours, 11 minutes, 48 seconds until due date
2 days until we get to hear our little one's heartbeat
22 days until we find out if we are having a baby girl or a baby boy
