Not Tired Today!
On another note, today, a little boy in my class with Asperger's head-butted me in the stomach pretty hard. I freaked out and gave him shit, lol. He has done it before many times but usually pretty gently, and we have reminded him many times to not touch other people's bodies. It obviously has not registered. Sharon and I (another lady who I work with who is pregnant) are starting to become concerned. I ended up talking to the principal and the Spec Ed department about the situation, therefore I had to let them know I was expecting. Basically, the way they are planning on handling it is to have the classroom teacher solely deal with the child and the principal plans on contacting the parents and letting them know what is going on. I will see how tomorrow goes with me trying to keep my distance from him. A big part of my job is to help the children regulate their behaviour and he is one child I am constantly working with. I just hope that I am able to get through the day not having to deal with him. I'll let y'all know how it goes!

He/she is the size of a lime!
I am so happy to almost be out of the first trimester! We are super excited for next Monday's ultrasound too! After that we can finally announce our pregnancy to the world. I have been feeling pretty good lately. Nausea is pretty much non-existent and fatigue is still there but not nearly as intense as before. I am able to feel the top of my uterus with my fingers on my tummy and I'm been having lots of round ligament pain, especially when I sneeze. 'Til next time!

I know it's early...
...but I don't think I'm crazy. As I was sitting on the couch I got startled. Pretty sure baby, jumped! Apparently it's rare but not unheard of to feel this early. Guess I will be able to confirm the feeling in a few weeks!

Feeling better these days but I'm not sure if it's because I have been off work all week, lol. Feeling a little less tired, a little ness nauseous but the tts are still sore as hell. Not much else to report today, except we have our appointment at the hospital on Wednesday and I am really excited/nervous :) 'Til next time! ;)

Dr. Som
So I went to see Dr. Som today and we talked about how I've been feeling. I told her the fatigue is really being to me and that I usually need an evening nap to get through the night. She suggested I up my B12 intake, to help with this. I could do shots of B12 or take oral supplements. I decided to try the supplements for obvious reasons lol. Hopefully it helps! I've also been craving bread and chocolate and the thought of chicken or vegetables make me nauseous. Therefore, continuing to eat healthy has been challenging lately. Tonight for dinner I ate 3 hardboiled eggs and bruschetta on whole wheat bread. We have our first appointment at the hospital next Wednesday which has made me super excited but REALLY nervous. I just hope everything will be fine!

It's a GIRL!
http://blogs.babycenter.com/mom_stories/at-home-gender-prediction-tests/
For those who are not aware of it it's an "old wives tale" that suggests if you add 1 tbsp of baking soda to your pee and it fizzles you are having a boy. If it does nothing when you add the baking soda, you are having a girl. Apparently, when you are pregnant with a boy your urine is more acidic and therefore makes the baking soda fizzle. People say it's like 80% accurate. Joe and I have been having major boy vibes since the very beginning but lo and behold... my pee didn't fizzle! lol. I did it twice just to be sure, once I added baking soda to pee and once I peed on baking soda, lol. So who knows! If it's a boy, then I am part of the 20% of women it didn't work for, lol. I did it twice just to be sure, once I added baking soda to pee and once I peed on baking soda, lol.
Also checked this Chinese Gender Predictor Chart and yep, girl again!

Upcoming Appointments
Not to much going on here, besides growing a baby in my uterus lol. Still feeling tired still, sore tts, nausea, the whole bit, but I don't mind too much, I like "feeling pregnant", lol.
Looking forward to some upcoming appointments. Next Tuesday, I have a naturopath appointment with Dr. Som. On March 21st I have my first appointment at the hospital. Apparently it's like 3 hours long and they do everything. It's at 8:00am (yay) but that's ok because at least Joe can come with me. The appointment after is on April 2nd (my dad's birthday). I believe that one will be my next ultrasound. They felt so far away a little while ago, now I can feel like I have something to look forward to :-) besides March Break of course where I will be spending a majority of next week sleeping, lol.
Night errbody!

Visiting Nonna
Today, Joe and I visited my nonna. After advice from my mom we decided to tell her that she was going to be a great-grandmother. At first she didn't seem too thrilled, the first thing she said was "Now you got to marry!" Lol. (I warned Joe she would mention that, lol). On the way home, we stopped by KW Surplus and I bought this book for $3.99. Going to start filling it out soon. Still really tired these days. As I write this it is 6:45pm and I am lying down in our bed trying to rest away the nausea. Told Joe to come wake me if I'm not our by 8:00pm. ' Til next time!
Our Baby at 8 Weeks :)

Beware: Some TMI
Went to the walk in clinic again today because I'm pretty sure I have an infection, something that is quite common when prego due to excess estrogen. Waited 2 hours in the waiting room, doc took a swab and said results should be in by tuesday. In the meantime, guess I'm just dealing with it! May have to hit the pharmacy tomorrow. On another note, I am feeling okay these days. Fatigue is my biggest enemy and the nausea I get before dinner is something wicked. Had my beef patties today and they were better than I ever imagined, lol. Baby LOVES beef patties, lol. Looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow and then going some shopping with Joe ;-)
' Til next time!
